Onion-Tomato Chutney
Being the tangier of the several Chutney options that you can conjure in your kitchens, you will need the following ingredients for its preparation:
2 Big Onions
3 Tomatoes
1 Red Chilly
2 Green Chillies
Once set, all you have to do is sauté all the above in a moderate amount of oil, after which you add a pinch of salt, a bunch of fresh coriander and grind them all together.
Your Onion-Tomato Chutney is ready.
Coconut Chutney
1 Cup Grated Coconut
3 Small Green Chillies
1 Small Pinch of Tamarind
Salt to Taste
Similarly, collect all af the above ingredients and grind them into a coagulated paste.
Simultaneously in a Kadai, heat upto 1 tsp of oil, splutter some Mustard seeds, cut red chillies, 1 tsp Urud Dal and curry leaves and add it to the paste obtained above to obtain your Coconut Chutney.
As a slight variations to the coconut Chutney, you can add a bunch of fresh coriander leaves whilst grinding to spicen up its final avatar.
